Wednesday, June 21, 2023: In search of the names

No, Flowers is not a place …
The special thing about the Rocky Mountains are the mountains – of course. But there is more to discover. During my hikes I am always fascinated by the plant life in the valleys or in the alpine tundra. No matter where they grow, the challenges for the plants here are quite special.
Where two days ago there was snow, right after that the daisies are blooming again. They look a little worn out, but I guess in a few days they won’t show what they had to deal with.
Unfortunately, I do not know part of the flowers and shrubs that I photographed. If anyone knows more than me, please leave a comment, maybe together we can manage to name them. Since the internet gets sparser and slower the further north I go, it may take a few days for comments to be posted and plant names to be added.
The photos were taken between June 11 and 21 in Banff, Yoho and Jasper National Parks.
