Sunday, October 1, 2023: My own footsteps!
Info:
Wadsworth is one of the suburbs of Akron and is located 70 km south of Cleveland. The small town has around 24,000 inhabitants, is similar to Upper Austria in terms of climate and vegetation and had the honor of hosting me for a year from October 1, 1988.

My opinion:
I had completely forgotten how pretty the place is! And how beautiful the surroundings!

Diary:
There is none this time.
I thought to myself, if I’m going to follow in my father’s footsteps (and beyond), then I might as well try my own.
Result: I was cuddled and fed, invited by former colleagues and their wives, and given a tour of the company.

One more thing: I had found my former boss’s phone number and was about to introduce myself when he interrupted me: “None of us will ever forget you. You were a treasure.”
You were a treasure.
After 35 years, he remembered me. That really touched me.

As I didn’t know beforehand how I would fare in Wadsworth, I took the precaution of camping at Mogadore Reservoir, about 30 km away.
Would not have been necessary. But it was lovely there!
